Gentlemen of London opened the doors of its Qatar flagship in December 2022, on the ground floor of Palazzo 5 Chateau, The Pearl. A British barbershop in the most British of senses — the panelled walls, the leather chairs, the unhurried craft, the single-malt brought to the seat. The discipline is classical: a hot-towel preparation, a straight-razor shave laid down in two passes, a scissor-over-comb cut measured in millimetres rather than minutes. Tools sourced from Solingen and Sheffield. Cloths from Northumberland. What The Pearl has added is a different rhythm: open seven days, longer evenings, a clientele that arrives by yacht as often as by car, and a marina horizon you don't get on Mount Street.
